Local Montreal Heroes Who Are Helping Out In Their Communities This Week
  • Some of our city's locals have decided to offer their services during this time of uncertainty, and we're here to give them the title of local Montreal heroes.
  • We believe their actions should not go unnoticed.
  • Read about the good that Montreal locals are doing during this difficult time below.

I've always been proud to be from Montreal but I must say, my pride is now more apparent than ever. The pride I used to have for this city was always about superficial things: the restaurants, the nightlife, the beautiful sights... But now, I can say that I'm proud to share the same city walls as so many selfless, local Montreal heroes.

During this time of uncertainty, it's refreshing to stumble upon local Montrealers who are going above and beyond to help those in need throughout this confusing time.

These courageous individuals have shed some light on our city in this dark time, which was definitely very needed.

I've been so impressed by not only the courage of some of those that live in my city but the care and compassion that they have shown during these trying times.

From food deliveries to helping the elderly with groceries, the kindness that is being shown throughout our city is truly touching.

If you know anyone who is doing their part to help our community during this time, make sure to let us know!

Project hero

This group of individuals is working hard on putting together local restaurants and food suppliers in order to supply meals to the medical staff at the JGH.

The selfless and fierce heroes behind this project are not doing it for any recognition, they are simply doing this to show gratitude for those putting their lives on the line to help stop the spread of this virus.

Mandy's is one of the most loved salad bars in all of Montreal, and now it has become one of the most generous establishments.

The owners have decided to donate food to healthcare workers in Montreal who are working day and night to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

They are heroes who are helping heroes, and I have so much respect for what they are doing.

Vanessa Azoulay

A few people reached out to tell me about this incredible local. Vanessa Azoulay is working so hard training nurses at St Mary's Hospital on how to screen patients for COVID-19 with a screening tool that she has developed.

Her amazing work is not going unnoticed, and we at MTL Blog want to thank her for what she is doing for our community.

Audrey Ettedgui

Ettedgui is a name that I came across more than one time when looking for do-gooders in our city.

She has taken it upon herself to proactively make arrangements with the IGA in Côte-Saint-Luc, one of the most affected areas in Montreal in creating a way for people in need to place orders online in a more efficient way.

On top of taking care of her own family, and working a full time demanding job in pharmaceuticals, she has managed to find the time to update our community with tips, statistics, and ways to make our friends, neighbours, family, and community safe from this pandemic.

All Healthcare Workers in Montreal

Rowena Alinas | Facebook

There are no greater heroes then all of the brave earth-angels who have been working and risking their safety in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

These healthcare workers are friends, parents, children, sisters, bothers, husbands, and wives. These workers are not at home binge-watching television and doing at-home workouts, these workers are heroes who are doing everything they can to try and fight this virus.

If you know anyone working in the healthcare industry, please send them love and positive vibes- they need all the encouragement they can get and deserve all the gratitude they have received.

From the team here at MTL Blog, we want to thank each of you for doing so much for our community – you are all true heroes.
