Montreal Fire Department Alert: Major 3-Alarm Fire Raging Near Montreal Olympic Stadium (Video)

A fire is raging through a building in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough of Montreal, just south of the Olympic Park.

The Montreal fire department first reported the fire on their Twitter account at 1:50 PM. Since then, the department has labelled it a 3-alarm blaze.

They are asking people to avoid the area.

The fire is in a building on the corner of ave Letourneaux and rue Deguerre. This location is near a Montreal public school and one block south of the Olympic Stadium.

Photos posted to Twitter show red flames shooting from the roof the building as firefighters work to extinguish it.

There are no reports of injuries. 

A video submitted to MTLBlog by an anonymous reader shows black smoke rising behind the Stadium.
