Mayor Valérie Plante Says Her Sexist Trolls Are “Cowards” (Video)

In part three of MTL Blog's exclusive interview with Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante, we discuss Bill 21 and what it means to be a woman in politics.

Mayor Plante talks about her position as one of the only female leaders in Canada and her allies in the business community. She underlines that her role comes with a lot of responsibility — a responsibility that she's proud to have despite all its pressures! 

When asked about Bill 21, Mayor Plante says that her position on the controversial religious symbols law hasn't changed but that she is taking a "wait and see" approach to its potential consequences on Montreal's population.
