One of the absolute best parts of living in Montreal is not needing a car. I moved here with a car and found parking to be just way too stressful. The public transit and STM really are impressive, even if we do like to complain about them. The reality is we all to rent an apartment near the metro or with a bus stop nearby. Even better, there are a number of Montreal apartments for rent that have amazing walk scores, which is a score that tells you how close or walkable certain amenities are in relation to almost any address.
I used Walk Score to come up with this list of apartments that are up for rent in Montreal right now. Walk Score names Ville-Marie, the Plateau and Outremont as the most walkable neighbourhoods in Montreal, the 3rd most walkable large city in Canada.
However, I did try to include apartments with great Walk Scores from all over the city. There are one-bedrooms to three-bedrooms and they're all walkable with amazing views.
The public transit and pedestrian-focused aspects of Montreal really do make the city stand out. So embrace walking in Montreal by making one of these apartments your new home and ditching the car!
