Montreal is Hosting A Huge $1 Book Sale This Weekend

Whether you want to read up on a topic or expand your vocabulary (or, simply, to get a nice little distraction from your day to day life), it's easier to make the time to read a little more in the summer.

Of course, books aren't always cheap, and buying brand-new novels can really set you back. Luckily, there are cheap book sales which make reading more accessible.

You can find the perfect, inexpensive book to read at the Bibliothèque d'Archive Nationale du Québec (BAnQ) because they are hosting a book sale this weekend and almost all items are only $1 and $2. You'll be able to buy a ton of books for a great price.

Now that warm weather is on its way, more people are turning off their screens and spending their free time outside in parks and on terrasses.

Lazing out in the sun is the perfect time to catch up on some reading and fulfil your well-meaning resolution to read more.

To help you with this resolution, the BAnQ is hosting a huge book sale this weekend.

Over 25 000 books and CDs are going to be on sale at the BAnQ, located on the corner of Maisonneuve and St-Denis.

Most of the books will be $1 or $2! And all of the profits from the sale will be donated to the Foundation of the BAnQ, which supports Les Amis de Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (ABAnQ).

The sale will be taking place from Thursday, May 30 to Sunday, June 2. The sale will begin at 10:00 a.m. You can also come back every so often because new books will be put every hour.

The BAnQ asks people to bring their own bags and to remember that the event is cash-only.
