This Recently-Opened Montreal Italian Restaurant Serves Nutella Pizza

It is hard for a local restaurant to stand out through the wide range of eateries that our city has to offer.

Some restaurateurs stick to traditional dishes while other restaurant owners decide to add their own personal flair to their menu.

Osteria Gallo on rue Saint-Hubert applies both of these methods. The Montreal Italian restaurant opened this past spring and everything looks incredible, especially the Nutella pizza.

For those of you wondering, a Nutella pizza is exactly what it sounds like. This restaurant takes pizza dough, cooks it, like a pizza and adds Nutella on top of it. This is without a doubt one of the most succulent desserts on the planet and it is definitely not diet friendly.

This family owned and run Italian restaurant is adding a twist to those traditional dishes that we all know and love.

Chef and owner Franco Gallo is passionate about his menu and creates each and every dish with love.

With years of experience and devotion to his craft, he has perfected the menu at Osteria Gallo. His care and passion reflect in his dishes and they are truly a treat for your eyes, but especially for your taste buds.

Besides the decadent and mouth-watering Nutella pizza, there are a lot of worthy menu items to test out including a long list of pizzas and pastas, antipasto, aranchini and, my personal favorite desert, tiramisu.

There's also a towering Arancini, a fried rice ball surrounded by sauce.

Each plate ranges in price between 13 and 19 dollars, which is fairly reasonable given the high quality produce used in each plate. In case you're wondering, the Nutella pizza serves two and costs $13.

This cozy Montreal restaurant is a perfect place for that weekly cheat meal you so desperately deserve.
