  • At 6:28 p.m. tonight, February 16, 2020, the STM tweeted that the Montreal's entire Green Line shut down.
  • At 7:13 p.m., another tweet was posted saying that the shut down was now only from the stations Berri-UQAM to Honoré-Beaugrand.

It's going to be a rough Sunday evening for anyone trying to make their way home during this time. The STM recently shared a notice on its Green Line Twitter account that the entire line, from Angrignon to Honoré-Beaugrand will be shut down until 7:25 p.m. — or at least that is the expected time that it will resume. If you were planning on taking Montreal's Green Line in the upcoming half hour or so, we would advise that you find another route.

At first, the shutdown took over all 27 stations that are part of the STM Green Line, with an expected resume time of 7:25 p.m.

In its second update, the STM reported that the shutdown was now only affecting the stations from Berri-UQAM to Honoré-Beaugrand, with the same anticipated time for services to resume.

In the most recent update, we are told that the shutdown, still between Berri-UQAM and Honoré-Beaugrand, has been prolonged for another half an hour. Now, it is expected that the full Green Line will be back in order by 7:55 p.m.

Below is the STM's first tweet that let their followers know about the Green Line's situation.

At 7:13 p.m., the STM tweeted another update. The shutdown on the Green Line is now only occurring from Berri-UQAM to Honoré-Beaugrand.

The expected time for services to resume remained the same.

Below is the STM's third update about the Green Line's situation, which was posted at 7:24 p.m.

The shutdown has been prolonged an additional half an hour.

This disturbance is said to be due to a medical emergency.

MTL Blog has contacted the STM for further information about this incident. This article will be updated when a response has been received.
