Montreal is an island, and its landlocked position means that real estate space in the city is valuable. However, living in the city is for the most part affordable. Of course, this doesn't apply if you're one of the people who rent or buy the many luxury condos popping up downtown.
Some of these condos are so luxurious-looking that they almost don't look like they belong in Montreal. This is the case of the 1111 Atwater. For about $1600 per square foot, you can get access to luxurious amenities, such as a swimming pool and gym, and amazing views.
"1111 Atwater is an upscale tower located south of Westmount on the former grounds of the Montreal Children’s Hospital. In addition to 22 luxury condos at the top of the building, this new prestigious address will be the highest retirement residence in the country," the project description on the construction company website reads.
The building is absolutely beautiful. You have to see the photos of the inside. The entrance hall will have a GLASS.PIANO. And there's an indoor/outdoor swimming pool.
Amongst other amenities for residents are a private elevator, a loft for guests, and an indoor parking lot.
And the condos themselves will have you daydreaming about apartment goals for the rest of the day. Feast your eyes on these ultra-modern "penthouses," complete with open-plan kitchens and a marble bathroom.
The building is located on the grounds of the old Children's Hospital (which means that it's DEFINITELY haunted, just saying). The views are beautiful, though.
Most of these condos start at 2 million dollars. If you want the penthouse, located on the 38th floor, you'll have to shell out $15 million dollars. Unfortunately, this is kind of an unattainable goal for now, but a girl can dream.
However, if you want to buy a unit, you'll have to do so fast! Half of the units have already been sold.
