Police Discovered Bodies Of A Woman & 2 Toddlers In Montreal Home This Morning
  • Montreal police discovered the bodies of a woman and two toddlers in a Montreal home this morning.
  • Officers arrived at the home to inform them of a dead relative but found the three deceased individuals instead.

At around 8 a.m. this morning, Montreal police responded to a call at a residence in the Pointe-Aux-Trembles neighbourhood. Police knocked on the door a few times and were worried about the lack of response from the residents. Entering the house, Montreal police found the bodies of a woman and two young children. The incident occurred at a home at Place des Pointeliers, near Boulevard Saint-Jean-Baptiste. Montreal police announced the deaths on the scene.

The incident has been ruled suspicious and crime scene investigators are currently on scene trying to figure out the cause of this tragic event.

Montreal police spokesperson Manuel Couture said that police were at the home this morning to inform the family that a relative of theirs had passed away.

UPDATE: The SPVM has confirmed that it identified the body of the father in Joliette in the night of December 10.

Unfortunately, they found the dead family in the house instead. The suspicious incident has not yet been assigned a cause.

Investigators have established a perimeter around the neighbourhood and people are advised to keep clear and let the police investigate.

The SPVM did confirm that they found the bodies of a woman, aged 42 and two young boys, aged two and four years old.

Police could provide no additional information about these victims.

A similar tragic incident rocked Montreal in October when a father and his two children were found dead in a home in Montreal's East End in an apparent murder-suicide.

There are no further details at the moment.
