Montreal's First-Ever Vegan Ramen Restaurant Is Now Open

Vegan Ramen lovers, rejoice!
Montreal's First-Ever Vegan Ramen Restaurant Is Now Open
  • Umami Ramen Montreal is the city's very first vegan ramen restaurant.
  • Noodles and tofu are made fresh, in-house with all organic Canadian ingredients.
  • Umami Ramen Montreal is giving away dinner for two right now to celebrate their grand opening.

Vegan ramen might seem like an oxymoron, but that hasn't stopped Umami Ramen from serving it up starting today and satiating those ramen cravings for vegans and vegetarians across Montreal!

The new restaurant is the first all-vegan ramen restaurant in the city, making it one of a kind and worth a visit, whether you live the veg lifestyle or not.

The chef and owner, Cédric Charron, lived in Japan in 2003 and has been a vegan for over 5 years. At Umami Ramen, he marries those two things in a beautiful little bowl just for you to try.

And what I think has to be the best part: they make their noodles and their tofu fresh, in house.

In addition to the delectable ramen soups for you to slurp on, they've also got an awesome selection of small plates, and after 5 p.m. they serve up a whole selection of Izakayas.

They also have kombucha alongside fresh sake or beer, which I would assume is also Japanese. Fingers crossed they've got Asahi!

To celebrate their grand opening, Umami Ramen is hosting a contest on their Instagram page where you could win a dinner for two.

You can enter to win via Instagram or Facebook. Click the link to visit the Instagram photo that has all the details, or head to their Facebook page here, instead. Even better... enter through both!

They'll be announcing the winner on Friday, August 23rd.

Umami Ramen Montreal is serving up homemade noodles and tofu made from Canadian organic wheat and soybeans and they are on a mission to spread the love of vegan food.

And to top it all off, they've also got a terrasse. So consider your dinner plans set.

Umami Ramen Montreal

Where: 6660 rue Clark

When: 11:30 a.m. – 11 p.m., all week long
