Snow Is On Its Way Back To Montreal This Week

Mother Nature truly has a love-hate relationship with Montreal. While we're all starting to take out our summer sandals because of the beautiful weather breezing through the city right now, we can't help but fear that the hot temperatures will drop drastically in the coming days. And, according to Montreal weather forecasts, this fear is about to become a reality again.

If you're more of a winter person, the news I'm about to share may be exciting for you. But if summer is what you look forward to all year round, I apologize in advance.

Although the Old Farmer's Almanac predicts that summer 2020 in Southern Quebec will be warmer than usual, it's also looking like it'll be rainier than normal.

And us Montrealers will begin feeling that prediction this upcoming week.

The first few days of the week will feel like true spring days, but then the end of the week looks like it's going to be bringing a rainy and snowy surprise for us all.

For those of you, like me, who thought summer was here to stay — we must learn to never get our hopes up.

You're probably thinking: Snow? In May? 

But we all know Montreal's weather is as unpredictable as a Gemini.

MétéoMédia predicts that La Belle Province will be getting some not so belle weather during the upcoming week.

Translation: "Spring refuses to settle down for good. Snow will make a comeback (again) this week! #WeatherQC"

Since I know it's mainly local Montrealers looking at this weather forecast, I brought in specifics for our region.

Thursday looks like it's shaping up to be a beautiful day, but the days after that, not so much...

If you look at the bottom right of this graph, you'll see that this coming weekend has potential for both snow and rain.

I'm sorry to all the mamas out there, but Mother's Day 2020 may not come with ideal weather. 

Luckily, things start looking up again in the week afterwards.

We'll see the temperature slowly rise in numbers once May 11 comes along, which means you can keep those sandals out!

Don't worry, between the warmer temperatures to melt it and the rainy weather to wash it away, the snow won't be lasting too long.
