While people in Montreal wait to see if we'll have a white Christmas this year, I can confirm that we're going to have a pretty white week. The Montreal weather forecast indicates that we can expect 3 straight days of snow this week, with the added bonus of the fourth day of snow on the weekend. Even more impressive, though, is that it's going to be colder than Moscow this whole week... so if you thought Russia had it bad, welcome to Montreal.
Although, in all honesty, it's not going to be that bad in Montreal, considering it won't be getting anywhere near 20 or 30 below zero, which is something we are all, unfortunately, quite used to during the winter months here.
But it will be cold enough for snow during most off the week, and nighttime temperatures will hang out around 10 degrees below zero.
Environment Canada's weekly forecast, which you can see below, doesn't indicate exactly how much snow we can expect to see, but The Weather Network is forecasting we could have around 10 cm on the ground by the time the weekend is over.
Below is the forecast for Moscow, Russia for the upcoming week starting Monday, December 2, 2019.
It looks like they've got three straight days of snow to look forward to, as well.

Although Moscow's snow will be hitting earlier in the week than Montreal's, you'll see their forecasted lows are hovering around zero, with the coldest forecasted low only dipping to 5 degrees below zero.

Now compare that with Environment Canada's weekly forecast for Montreal, and you might start to feel a little... chilly.
Our nightly lows are far colder than Moscow's for this week, and even most of our highs are sitting below zero, unlike Moscow's warmer, above-zero temperatures for the week.

While our snow won't hit until Wednesday, it's going to continue through to Friday, hold up on Saturday and then it's back on Sunday.
The Weather Network's 7-day forecast also indicates that we'll have snow next Monday, too. So... December is officially here y'all.

This tweet shows that the snow has already begun to fall in Moscow, kicking off their three day stretch of precipitation that will last right until ours kicks in.
Say what you will about Russia, we've got one thing in common: we both know how to work our way towards a white Christmas.
With a snowy, snowy December.
