Netflix Is Reportedly Making A Rom-Com Based On Montrealer Antoni Porowski's Dating Life
  • Montreal native and Queer Eye chef Antoni Porowski is the inspiration for a new Netflix production, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.
  • Porowski has said that he's open to dating any gender.
  • He is currently in a relationship with businessman Kevin Harrington.

One Montrealer is heading to Netflix — again! According to a story by The Hollywood Reporter, Montreal native and Queer Eye chef Antoni Porowski is behind a new movie from the streaming giant that is "loosely based" on his own romantic experiences with both men and women. The project is reportedly titled Girls & Boys.

Porowski told the Gay Times in 2018 that he has "always considered [himself] a little more fluid along the spectrum" and has "never really had a label for [himself]."

He is currently dating businessman Kevin Harrington.

Antoni is collaborating with writer Kenya Barris on the production, The Hollywood Reporter explains.

There are few other details. MTL Blog has reached out to Netflix for more information and will update this article when we get a response.

After first rising to prominence through the hugely popular Queer Eye reboot, Porowski amassed a large social media following.

His good looks, and smouldering stare, in particular, have been the subject of many an Internet parody.

In recent weeks, the Concordia-grad has launched a series of cooking tutorials on his personal Instagram page.

"Quar Eye: Cooking Lessons in Quarantine" shows the chef prepare nutritious meals using simple ingredients that have not been the target of panic buying and are thus readily available in grocery stores.

"As I was walking through I realized there were so many ingredients that weren't there. And I know that's something that everyone is experiencing," he said in the first video, published on March 16.

"It dawned on me that I think a lot of people in the country and the world are actually going through this right now."

"But we're stuck at home so we might as well still be able to prepare good food that's good for us and that makes us feel good."

The series has seen Porowski prepare everything from omelettes to sloppy joes.
