There are so many restaurant options in Montreal, some of them are known for their amazing food, while other places gain a reputation for their photogenic decor and dishes. One local spot seems to have outshined the competition in this department. Our very own Agrikol made Big 7 Travel's list of the most Instagrammable restaurants in the world.
We live in a society that puts a lot of emphasis on aesthetic experiences. Now, more than ever, restaurants are stepping up their design game to woo Instagram-hungry customers.
Agrikol, located on rue Atateken, is a tropical-inspired eatery that serves up some of the best Haitian dishes in the city. The flavour-filled rum cocktails have also left their mark on clients.
But it's the colourful walls, expansive patio, and decorations that earned the restaurant a spot on the Big 7 Travel list.
From the tropical ornaments and leaf detailed walls to the selfie-worthy bathrooms and adorable staircase, this eatery is made to feel like a Caribbean vacation.
And, during the months of summer, there is a popular, tree-shaded terrasse that is truly breathtaking.
Agrikol was the 37th entry on the Big 7 Travel list and the only Montreal restaurant to make the cut.
Other ranking Canadian establishments include El Catrin (#32) and Oretta (#14) in Toronto and National on 10th in Calgary (#47).
The number one spot was given to a colourful establishment in Houston Texas called Present Company.
