Montreal's Entire STM Blue Metro Line Has Been Shut Down, Here's Why

According to the STM service updates website, service on the Blue line will be down until 8:15 AM, which is when the service is "expected" to resume.

A person who has been hurt or is sick is the apparent cause, but there are few other details.

As of now, the entirety of the Blue Line is down, from Snowdown to Saint Michel.

The STM tweeted the above on Twitter, with no other details.

The photo above was shared on the STM website explaining that the service was stopped in order to help an "injured or ill passenger," though no further explanation has been given.

We will update this space with any new info.

UPDATE: The STM has updated their site and sent out a new tweet indicating that service is slowly resuming on the Blue line. No new details on what happened or if the passenger was ill or in fact injured.

The STM has been super on point as of late. In fact, before today they had gone a record number of days without a shutdown!

And even today, they expected service would be back by 8:15, and it totally was. I don't know what they're doing differently lately but clearly, it's working and there are no complaints from us!
