Montreal's MajesThé Bubble Tea Cocktail Bar & Speakeasy Is The First Of Its Kind In Quebec

Montreal's new MajesThé Bar recently had its re-opening to welcome the first alcoholic bubble tea bar & speakeasy in Quebec. For years, MajeThe has been known for its fusion food and "galaxy lemonade," loved by lunchers and students near metro McGill. And it recently started serving up something new... as long as you remember to knock twice. No, you don't need a secret password to get into this bubble tea cocktail bar. But it is a speakeasy, so be sure to give them the special double-knock when you visit.

Since its opening (previously located near metro Place-des-Arts), the MajesThé Bistro has been delivering on elegant fusion food with a twist... and an affordable price point.

Try the White Miso Pasta with creamy caramelized butter sauce or the Kimchi pasta with Taiwanese pork belly and see how the kitchen finds unique ways to approach fusion fare.

Plus, there are options for everyone. The Fried Tofu Bao with marinated pickles and mustard leaves is one of a handful of vegan options on the menu.

Now located on Boulevard Robert-Bourassa, MajesThé is using its extra space to welcome visitors to the Bar MajesThé speakeasy, open on Thursdays and Fridays.

The underground space lends itself to a little whimsical mystery and is a great spot to split a couple unique cocktails and share a couple snacks.

Cocktails are bubble-tea inspired and include things like The Crown, which is Bar MajesThé's take on an Old Fashioned, and The All Knight Long with Irish cream and tapioca.

Plus, the speakeasy menu includes some great shareables, like Taiwanese Basil Fried Chicken, MajesThé Karaage, and lamb skewers.

But be sure to leave room for dessert, because there are some truly delectable options, like the Baileys Cake, seen above.

As MajesThé describes it, "it's a sponge cake soaked in three different kinds of milk but with our own unique twist: ⁣we serve it with our homemade liquid nitrogen, Baileys milk flavoured ice cream and chocolate crumble, and top it with a deep-fried Bao in the shape of our logo!"
