This New Plateau Restaurant Has Decadent Vegetarian Meals That Even Could Fool Meat Eaters

In 2020, more and more people are deciding to give plant-based dishes a chance, with the mindset that every little decision we make counts. As a result, the restaurant scene has had no choice but to increase its offer in terms of meatless dishes. This is the case for Maynard, one of the newest restaurants in Montreal's Plateau.

Maynard's menu lets you treat yourself to comforting fast food deluxe style dishes. Among them, you'll find vegetarian BBQ sandwiches, mac 'n' cheeses, which can be made into a vegan option, fried Oreos, Dr Pepper donuts, as well as a totally succulent fry-free poutine. Are you hungry yet?

If these dishes make your mouth water just by imagining them, head on over to the corner of rue Prince-Arthur O. and rue Clark, which is where you'll find Maynard open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. And, if you don't have a great imagination, you can find photos of certain menu options below.

I have a strong feeling this way just become your new go-to spot — especially since you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. 

It's also possible to purchase a shared menu including two sandwiches, a portion of macaroni and cheese, as well as a dessert — all for the price of $30.

With these options, you get to taste a variety of flavours at once.

As for prices, you can expect something very reasonable since the most expensive item on the menu goes for $12. So, you can eat a lot and spend a little.

Another one of the restaurant's specialties you must try is the soda. The restaurant makes its own homemade drinks — and they're without a doubt the perfect companion to your meal.
