The biggest and most well-known music festival to go down in Montreal has just announced the 3 major headliners that festival-goers can get excited about seeing this summer, which marks Osheaga's 15th anniversary. Montreal's Osheaga 2020 will host The Foo Fighters, Lizzo, and Kendrick Lamar over the weekend of July 31 - August 2, 2020.
It's clear the festival is sticking to its well-rounded roots with such a varied trio of headliners.
The Foo Fighters are current-day rock legends who will certainly excite any rock fans planning a trip to the festival. This could mean the main stage will be primarily rock music on the Friday night of the festival.
Lizzo fills out the pop quotient and will take the stage on Saturday.
Then Sunday will be headlined by rapper Kendrick Lamar. If the scheduling goes down as it has in years past, there are three pretty distinct days here that can easily play to any kind of music fan.
Essentially it seems there's a little something here for everyone and it will be very exciting to see the full line-up and how it fills out each of the days leading up to the headliner.
Osheaga has even posted on its page that the full line-up will be announced tomorrow, January 28, 2020, so stay posted for that.
Of course, this is Osheaga. So whether or not we get an actual list is up for debate.
In years past, the full line-up has been released as part of a contest or game, where plenty of guessing is involved.
Last year the headliners created a similar trio, with Childish Gambino filling in the rap portion, The Lumineers bringing the folk-pop, and the Chemical Brothers playing to the alternative crowd.
Last year also marked the festival's return to its original home on Parc Jean-Drapeau island, with more space and the Arts Village back in full-force, as well as new features like the YUL EAT Garden.
Details are likely just going to keep coming in terms of what to expect from the space and the artists that will be performing.
We'll be back tomorrow will the full list, so stay tuned!
