Police Alert Public To Discovery Of Human Remains Near Longueuil Metro Station

The Service de police de l'agglomération de Longueuil (SPAL) has alerted the public to the discovery of human remains at the intersection of rue St-Charles and blvd. Lafayette. Police have erected a barrier and are conducting an investigation.

The remains were located near the Longueuil yellow line metro station, according to TVA and a map provided by the SPAL.

TLDR: Longueuil Police are investigating after a body was discovered near the base of the Jacques Cartier Bridge and Longueuil metro station.

Details are few. In a now-deleted Facebook post, police shared that the body was discovered at 12:20 pm Friday afternoon. Police have identified the body as female.

It appears that the remains were within a grassy area adjacent to the base of the Jacques Cartier Bridge.

There is so far no information about the circumstances of the death. 

Thousands of commuters use the Longueuil metro station to commute between the South Shore and downtown Montreal.
