Some of us aren't drivers or we don't have access to a car, or really we just don't want to be bothered. And that's where Vincentrips comes in.
Vincent, yes that Vincent, organizes hiking trips throughout the year and he takes care of the transportation so you don't have to. All you have to do, once you choose your hike, is get yourself to Rosemont metro station on that day.
His latest hikes are scheduled October 12, 13 & 14 and are set for Mont-Tremblant (already sold out), Parc Naturel Sutton, and Parc National du Mont Orford, respectively. Groups are small and as you can see spots go fast!
There is also a hike planned for Mont Saint Bruno National Parc but a date has yet to be set.
Each hike is $50 and that includes a roundtrip ride and the cost of admission to the park.
Choosing any of the hikes guarantees you a chance to see some of the most beautiful fall foliage Quebec has to offer. All of the hikes also stop about halfway through for a park picnic and a chance to catch your breath.
Most of the guests that sign up for the hikes are what the website calls "young adventurers." These are people, like Vincent himself, who just want to get out of Montreal for the day somewhere beautiful and maybe meet a few other people along the way.
Vincent and his yellow school bus have been doing this for years. He has some amazing excursions every season. Everything from hot air balloon rides, trips to Toronto, and even a seaplane trip and hike.
All of his excursions are basically turn-key. You just have to show up at the metro with the right clothing, be prepared to hike and let him take care of the rest.
If your goal is to just take in the last days of fall with a walk not too far from Montreal, then check out the current fall colour hikes.
