Dating is a lot of fun. Regardless of your age or relationship status, going on dates is (almost) always a good time. Dating is a way of spending time with that special person and going to do something you perhaps would not normally do by yourself.
I firmly believe that you should never stop dating, even if you have been married for 50 plus years. And, the following activities are ideal for anyone looking to add that romance novel spark back into their love life.
From romantic picnics to exploring stunning gardens, our city is stocked with some wonderful things to do come spring.
Have A Picnic In A Lavender Field
Where: 902, Chemin Fresnière; Maison Lavande
Picnics are always a good idea, especially when they are had in stunning lavender fields.
Located in Saint-Eustache, this sprawling lavender field will give you magnificent springtime vibes while getting some killer social media content that looks like it's straight out of a romance novel.
Watch Planes Land Together
Where: Avenue Jenkins; Parc Jacques-de-Lesseps
This hidden Montreal gem is one of my favourite date spots in the city. Getting to watch planes landing and taking off so close to you truly makes you feel like you're in a story written by Nicholas Sparks.

Visit The Botanical Gardens
Where: 4101, rue Sherbrooke E.
Montreal's Botanical Gardens have to be one of the most outstanding places in all of the city.
Comprising of 75 hectares of thematic gardens and greenhouses, this picturesque location will trigger all those romantic spring feels that you have been craving throughout the wintertime.
Go On A Walking Tour
Where: Various locations throughout Montreal
Walking is the best way of discovering any city, including Montreal. And lucky for you — there's a slew of awesome walking tours on our little island. For those of you looking for a romantic walking tour, I highly suggest the Old Montreal Tour. it's beautiful, rich in history, and oh so romantic.
Pick A Tulip Bouquet
Where: 1270, rue Principale; U-Pick Laval
I am honestly counting down the days until I can visit this stunning tulip garden in Laval. Not only will you be immersed in a beautiful and colourful world but you will even be able to create a magnificent bouquet of your own.
Instead of buying your date flowers, why not bring them to pick their own bouquet, it's not only romantic but so much fun.
Stroll Through One Of Montreal's Parks
Where: Various parks throughout Montreal
Montreal is home to some outstanding parks. Some of which are super well known while other parks are incredibly underrated.

Go On A Picturesque Bike Ride
Where: Lachine Canal
The Lachine Canal is without a doubt one of my favourite spots in all of Montreal. Bike rides can be very romantic, especially when you ride along a stunning path and end your ride with a picnic by the water.
Come spring, the Lachine Canal will be crawling with romance seeking couples looking for their Nicholas Sparks moment, and you can be one of those gushy loving faces.
Spend The Day At LaRonde
Where: 22, Chemin Macdonald
LaRonde is one of the places that I look the most forward to opening because it truly brings out the kid in both my husband and me.
From the thrill-seeking roller-costers to the cuteness of the carnival games and the abundance of snacks to nosh on, LaRonde has all the ingredients for a romantic spring date.
LaRonde only opens again as of May 9, so plan accordingly!
