îleSoniq Has Released Its 2020 Lineup With Tiësto, DJ Snake & Sean Paul

Sean Paul and Tiësto are coming to town.

As winter approaches its final days, Montreal's summer schedule is coming more clearly into focus. The city's biggest summer festivals have begun to release details about their forthcoming editions (and another, a new festival is dropping hints about what to expect). After Metro Metro and Osheaga announced some exciting big names, îleSoniq has followed suit with 2020 headliners including Sean Paul, Tiësto, and DJ Snake. The îleSoniq lineup promises a booming two-day run this August.

"Created in 2014, îLESONIQ is located in the heart of Montreal, in Parc Jean-Drapeau," a press release reads. "For two days, the island transforms itself into an urban oasis where the public can experience the rhythm of major artists from the electronic, dance and hip-hop scene."

"In an idyllic setting, a stone's throw from downtown, îLESONIQ transports music fans into a playful and colourful parallel universe to offer them a unique festival experience."

This will be the first edition of the electronic music festival in the new Espace 67, a dedicated major event space adjacent to the Jean-Drapeau yellow metro line station.

The Espace, named for Expo 67, which took place on the island and gave Montreal its party reputation, is full of new amenities, including a terrasse restaurant and clean new bathrooms — festival-goers rejoice!

"Cooling zones" and a widened central concourse will allow for easier movement during the festival.

"With a fun and exotic backdrop, Espace 67 will be transformed into a vivid and vibrant area where people will be able to dance and enjoy themselves, to the energetic beat of the music," the Parc Jean-Drapeau website reads.

More information on Espace 67 is available on the park website.
