It was quite a week, eh Montreal?
Our weather was quite nice despite some rainy days, there was a shark in the Saint Lawrence Gulf, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gave us $50 million for a park, the STM made some changes, Papa John's opened its first location in the area for a very long time, we found out why your flight to Vancouver is so expensive, and a beloved La Ronde roller coaster is shutting down soon.
Widely-circulated news is fun and all, but here at MTL Blog, we love getting submissions and story tips from you — the reader! We received some pretty fantastic local stories this week. Some funny and some were simply classic Montreal but all were from you!

Our faithful MTL Blog paparazzi, AKA, our lovely readers were all over the celebrity couple this week as they were here on business. Shawn Mendes had a spectacular concert and Camila Cabello was probably here supporting her "secret" boyfriend.

Leave it to Montrealers to ruin a good thing just a few days after it debuts. Lime scooters have been popping up in some...unfortunate places all week long. Stay classy, Montreal.

Montreal is known as an artistic place as I'm sure you've all seen many "found art" vernissages (here's looking at you Concordia Fine Arts majors). But I mean, this one takes the cake.

Does anyone know this hairdresser?
We received messages from a few women asking us to find this apparently amazing hairdresser who used to work in Granby. Apparently, he works in Verdun now:
"Hi there, I am looking for a hairstylist by the name of Jean-Francois who worked at Smart Style on Granby street for over 4 years. He left his stylist job there and is now working in a hair salon somewhere in Verdun. He was my stylist for years and won't trust anyone else with my hair. Jean-Francois in quite tall, reddish hair, in his early 30's. Maybe someone can help me! Thank you".
Send us a DM if you think you know "Jean-Francois"!
