Over the years, Gilmore Girls has not only become a cult series for 90's kids, but also a tradition. Every fall, it's basically mandatory viewing. You have to snuggle up in a big cuddly blanket with a hot coffee and watch an episode a season or two to really get in that autumnal mood. And if you've always dreamt of visiting Stars Hollow, the little village home of Lorelai and Rory, the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest in the fall of 2020 is your chance.

We've all pictured ourselves wandering the streets of this little hamlet avoiding Emily at all costs and having lunch at Luke's.

The fictional New England town, with its eclectic characters and bright façades, represents peak Americana and stimulates longing for a simpler lifestyle outside of the city.

As the festival website states, "Stars Hollow means something to all of us."

"We can't quite articulate it and we can't exactly take someone there. It isn't just one place because it doesn't actually exist, but the feeling definitely does."

The Gilmore Girls Fan Fest, which is entirely dedicated to the show, transforms the town of Kent, Connecticut, into the series' postcard-perfect setting.

The festival will be back this fall for its fifth edition from October 16 to 18, 2020, and it's only a five-hour road trip from Montreal.

If you missed your chance last year, you can get ahead of yourself this year. Tickets for the event go on sale on January 28.

The price to participate in this festival is US$265 and tickets include access to three days of activities.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to meet the actors of the series that we loved so much and participate in dozens of other activities that will stir your nostalgia.

For the most dedicated fans, there will be quizzes on the finer details of the series.

There is no day ticket, but you can choose to go for one or two days only.

Please note that when buying tickets, you will have to provide a U.S. address for delivery, but the organizers specify that you can use any address in the U.S., as nothing will actually be delivered to you. Tickets will be electronic.
