Food festivals are among my favourite kinds of festivals because there's no pressure to look cool and dance. You can just hang out and gorge yourself on some delicious food. Well, folks — here's one that's guaranteed to please.

Due to the unfortunate cancellation of the Montreal Jerk Food Festival, festival organizers had to find a solution so that their highly-anticipated event could live on. Enter the Agora Châteauguay, a wonderful fairground that will host this year's edition of the Châteauguay Jerk Food Festival!

The festival is absolutely FREE to attend

If you aren't familiar with jerk cooking, I highly recommend you try it as soon as possible! Native to Jamaica, jerk cuisine consists of meat and veggies that are dry-rubbed with a secret blend called jerk spice. Buckle up because jerk cooking is spicy!

The Châteauguay Jerk Food Festival will feature jerk food, from chicken to pork and even veggies. Everyone of all ages is welcome to celebrate the magic that is Jamaican jerk cuisine!

There will also be a myriad of children's activities, vendors' booths and drink stands.

Musical guests will keep the party going all day long. ZJ Liquid, Singer J, and Mr. Easy headline the main stage. DJs will be pumping reggae and dub rhythms while you enjoy some delicious food.

The Châteauguay Jerk Food Festival is a celebration of everything great about Jamaican culture — the food, the music, and the vibes.
