Over Half The Montreal Orange Metro Line Has Been Shut Down Due To A Medical Emergency

The STM has announced an extensive shutdown on the Montreal orange metro line. Service has come to a halt between Côte-Vertu and Berri-UQÀM stations, accounting for more than half the route of the busy line.
According to reports, an intervention of medical services has caused a complete shutdown of services until around 3:50 p.m. The shutdown was announced at 2:55 p.m. In total the shutdown is expected to last for about an hour.
Emergency services were dispatched along the orange line. There are no futher details.
UPDATE: Normal metro service has resumed.
EARLIER: Passengers on the other side, between Berri-UQAM and Montmorency, are in the clear as service is still available in both directions.
Expect heavy traffic and much delay if you're trying to get downtown from the west end of Montreal.

It is unclear where along the shut down route emergency medical services had to intervene.
The STM website also reflects the shutdown.
