Over Half The Montreal Orange Metro Line Has Been Shut Down Due To A Medical Emergency

The STM has announced an extensive shutdown on the Montreal orange metro line. Service has come to a halt between Côte-Vertu and Berri-UQÀM stations, accounting for more than half the route of the busy line.

According to reports, an intervention of medical services has caused a complete shutdown of services until around 3:50 p.m. The shutdown was announced at 2:55 p.m. In total the shutdown is expected to last for about an hour.

Emergency services were dispatched along the orange line. There are no futher details.

UPDATE: Normal metro service has resumed.

EARLIER: Passengers on the other side, between Berri-UQAM and Montmorency, are in the clear as service is still available in both directions.
