It's been several years now since the project of a huge spa in Saint-Bruno, on Montreal's South Shore, was announced. In fact, since 2016, we have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Thermal City Förena.
While the opening of this Nordic spa was scheduled for last summer, it was delayed until December. However, we have now learned that the opening of this relaxation complex is yet again postponed and is now scheduled for 2020.
The Förena spa, which represents an investment of $12M, is the first phase of this huge project that promises to be one of the largest spa cities in Canada.
Until now, few details have been revealed and the only images of the place that have been shared are those of the plans.
With the opening scheduled for this Friday, December 20, many were eager to finally see what it really looked like.

However, Narcity has recently learned that Förena has had to postpone its opening date until January 31, 2020.
"In order to provide an optimal experience, Förena will delay its opening date from today. The spa city, located in St-Bruno-de-Montarville, will, therefore, open its doors on January 31, 2020," explained Noémi Foucault, the Marketing Communications Consultant for the project.
She went on to explain that the SkySpa Group, which is behind this new complex, wanted to "apologize for the additional delays, but prefer not to compromise the quality of the Förena trip."
It will, therefore, be another month before we can live this new experience of relaxation.
