Where my BUNZ at? If you are someone who loves to trade and barter to save some bucks and save the environment, this news is for you. This news is also for you if you've ever bought anything from Kijiji or Craigslist... So, it's pretty much for everyone. The SPVM has just opened the first-ever "Safe Trading Zone" in Montreal, right outside one of the downtown police stations. The Safe Trading Zone will allow for people to meet up and trade under the watchful eye of police surveillance.
The SPVM hopes that this will decrease danger of all kinds for people who are meeting in real life after discussing a transaction online.
For one, you can be sure that no one will try to get violent with you if you're standing outside a police station. People will probably be less likely to scam you, also.
The new Safe Trading Zone is right downtown outside a police station that is open 24/7, so you never have to worry about meeting up with a Kijiji seller after your 10 p.m. kitchen shift ends... The Safe Zone is always open and under video surveillance.
In other cities, like Toronto, where the Facebook group BUNZ Trading Zone was started, a culture of safe trade spaces has long been established.

Establishments that were down with trades happening on their turf were able to put a sticker in their window, making them safe trade zones.
There, buyers, sellers and traders alike could complete their transactions while staff were aware and kept a watchful eye for anything suspicious.

Now Montrealers can feel safe, too, knowing they have somewhere they can always go to complete their trades or other exchanges.
The Safe Trading Zone has been established outside Neighbourhood Police Station 20 on rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest at the corner of rue Bishop.
