Part Of The Orange Line Has Been Shut Down For An Hour

The metro is not having a lot of luck these days. The Green line was shut down yesterday for over an hour and the STM just announced that the STM Orange line between Crémazie and Montmorency will be shut down for at least the next hour due to an "intervention by emergency medical services." Service is expected to resume at 3:30 p.m.
UPDATE: Service is gradually resuming on the orange line.
While it's luckily not at peak rush-hour from people trying to get home, the shutdown of the metro will definitely impact students.
The STM has yet to comment on the exact cause of the shutdown, but as more details emerge we will be sure to update this page.
For commuters that are currently stuck mid commute somewhere between Crémazie and Montmorency, the STM has already set up a special shuttle bus service. The location of these bus stops can be found on the district maps displayed in all of the stations.
The Green line shutdown yesterday produced platform lines that were 15 people deep, causing a lot of unnecessary grief to the end of a workday. So fingers crossed that the STM will have the current Orange line situation back up and running before commuters start to head home.
Take a look at the tweets below and stay tuned as we update this space to keep you informed as the situation changes.
We were first made aware of the situation by the STM at 2:33 p.m. today.
