This All-Night Montreal Music & Dance Festival Will Make You Feel Like You're In Spain

Montreal is home to many festivals during the summer: from les Francofolies to Just For Laughs, there's an event out there for everyone. With all of these fun parties happening around the city, the saturated events market has to come up with different ways to stand out.

That's exactly what Feria Montreal does. Located in an old church, the festival promises an evening of enchanting music, amazing shows, and an ambiance you can't find anywhere else.

The event is based on Spanish and French "Ferias," festivals characterised by bullfighting and revelry. Feria Montreal has been re-creating these devilishly fun festivals since 2013.

The event's organiser, Yan Niesing, had this to say about the festival: "Feria Montreal is a party where we celebrate being a Montrealer."

Niesing explains, "the 24th of June we are proud to be Quebecer, the 1st of July we are proud to be Canadian, and, this year, on the 20th of July we are proud to be Montrealers, and we will dance until the wee hours of the morning."

A ton of fun events are on the program this year. Music from around the world, burlesque dancers, a dance party and a parade will keep revellers busy and entertained until the morning.

Oh, and there's going to be a GIANT paella.

Guests are invited to wear red and white, the traditional Feria colours.

Montreal is the only city in North America to host a Feria. This year, the event takes place in the Paradoxe Theatre, located close to Berri-UQAM.

Shuttles will be available to bring guests to and from the metro.
