I love living in Montreal but as someone who lives smack in the middle of the action on Boulevard Saint-Laurent, sometimes it is nice to have a little escape from the city.
Montrealers know how special the city and its surrounding areas are during the months of fall. Our foliage is some of the most brilliant in the world and an abundance of nature makes any drive outside the most dense urban areas seem pretty magical.
This magic makes the approach to Halloween extra special. I know I am not the only one in our city that is fascinated by all things mystic and paranormal. Wizardry, spells, magic potions — all of these things excite me to my core.
I was pumped when I heard that less than an hour from Montreal was an activity that makes the most of both the fall scenery and the Halloween spirit. Sortilège Le Labyrinthe, a badass maze in St-Alexis-de-Montcalm, is designed to bring out our inner wizard.
Opening its doors on September 21st, 2019, the Harry Potter-themed Halloween labyrinth will draw you into a world of magic. Open only on Saturdays and Sundays until October 27, the maze is a great activity for those looking to revive their inner child.
The cover charge includes the entrance to the maze, a magic wand gifted from a bewitched tree, a squash or mini pumpkin, and a guide book to magical powers.
Those who participate will also have a chance to learn magic tricks and spells while following a master though the Forbidden Forest.
After you work up an appetite from all those spells, you will be able to dig into a variety of tasty treats.
Just make sure you dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes because there will be some walking involved.
However, you are still going to want to look cute because you will be taking a ton of pictures!
This is a unique adventure to partake in and with winter coming, you are going to want to get out of your house as much as you can.
