Video Of Devastating Fire Allegedly Caused By Arson In Montreal

A fire broke out in Côte-des-Neiges just before 3 on Monday night. Firemen were quick to rush to the scene of the fire to try to tame the flames. A jaw-dropping video shows firemen at work trying to control the fire.
Multiple reports mention that the Société de Police de Montréal (SPVM) believe that the fire is criminal as there were traces of accelerants found on the scene.
The fire has since been put out by firemen. At this time, there are no known suspects and police have not made any arrests in connection with the fire.
The Sécurité Incendie Montréal first mentioned the fire on Twitter shortly before 3:00 a.m. on Monday. They asked people to avoid the area around the Décarie boulevard and Jean Talon intersection.

They also warned that residents may experience power cuts.

The burnt building is home to at least one business. The building is located on the corner of Décarie Boulevard and Jean Talon.

Police have found traces of accelerant on the scene, and therefore believe that the cause of the fire is criminal. As of now, there are no suspects.
Police managed to tame the fire a little while later, just after 4:00 am. Photos show the aftermath of the fire, and how it totally destroyed the building.
The area is once again open to the public. Police have not yet made any arrests in connection with the fire. We will update this post as more information becomes available.
