Hey guess what? We're all going to be hot again.
Warning: Montreal Is Expected To Be Hit With Its Worst Heatwave Yet

They say bad things come in threes and this proves that point. Montreal has already been hit by two heatwaves in July, one with an Environment Canada warning and we're not even halfway through the month.

And guess, what? Here comes another one! So enjoy the next few days - while warm and muggy - they won't be as severe as what's coming for us early next week. MeteoMedia predicts that this could be our worst heatwave yet.

From July 16-18 expect an average temperature of around 30°C with the humidex going approaching on 40. On the humidex scale of comfort we may be smack dap in the "Great discomfort; avoid exertion" area.  And we're just a few short points away from the heatstroke area.

Wewon't even be able to get away from the heat at night. While the last two nights have been cooler, for next week don't expect a reprieve. The minimums for the night aren't expected to drop below 20°C

We will all be tossing and turning and sweating and praying for the flap of a moth's wings for just a little breeze

The impending heatwave is caused by "an atmospheric ridge....allows the heat and moisture of the Southern United States to go back to Quebec."

And while I'm not exactly sure what that means, I do know we have someone to blame.

I'm looking at you, US.
