The joy I personally get from doing good around my community is a feeling that is incomparable to anything else I have ever felt.

While volunteering in Montreal, you learn valuable lessons about human dignity all while discovering the realities many people in our city face that we often forget.

So, throughout the festive holiday season, one of the most important and rewarding things to do is give back. Here's a list of where you can do so!

If you want to participate, you will get a Christmas list that was meant for Santa and it's up to you to make this child’s Christmas wish come true.

Shoe Box Project

The show box project is something that I personally take part in every year. This foundation allows you to turn your old shoeboxes into a Christmas miracle for women in need.

The items you are asked to include in your shoebox are mainly hygienic and sanitation products. As well as scarves, mittens, hats, bus tickets and of course, supportive and loving messages to help get these ladies through a tough time.

And, of course, you must decorate the box, for which you are free to decorate as festive as you want!

Your box should cost about $50, which may seem steep, but this generous gesture truly goes a long way - and it means you're making someone else's Christmas a whole lot better.
