Montrealers Are Being Illegally Charged Too Much Money For Gas

Hasn't the city been screwed enough already?
Montrealers Are Being Illegally Charged Too Much Money For Gas

Most Quebecers are probably so delighted by the low gas prices that we don't bother worrying about how much we SHOULD be paying.

Considering that last year gas prices were about $1.40 per litre, no one in their right mind would complain when prices are closer to $0.90 a litre.

Except that's not the real price of gas. We are being robbed.

Here's an artists depiction of what the gas company executives look like:

For the past year, gas prices have been unjustifiably hiked on Fridays, actually this happened 65% of the time.

CAA Quebec claims that the gas companies did not respect the price fluctuations and it was the motorists who paid the price.

According to CBC, prices this week should be around $.62 per litre. But today, the lowest price on the island is $0.87 per litre.

The worst part is that there doesn't seem to be anything we can do about it.
