In response to a white supremacists and neo-Nazis rally held in Charlottesville, Virginia where one person died, scores of Montrealers took to the streets of the city for a protest-in-solidarity against fascism.

About 200 Montrealers took part in yesterday's demonstration, says CTV.

Bearing signs admonishing the beliefs of American white nationalists (a "fair" term used by the media to basically describe white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and Klu Klux Klan sympathizers), the demonstration began in Philips Square and finished in The Village.

Peaceful protesters in Charlottesville demonstrating against the racist-rally were attacked by a lone man driving car. One woman was killed due to the attack and 19 others were injured.

According to one Twitter user, a similar thing took place during the Montreal demonstration. The driver of a van allegedly "lunged" towards protesters.

No one was hurt (if this, in fact, did occur) and the Montreal police said the demonstration resulted in no injuries or the like.

Take a look at Sunday's demonstration below.
