Montreal’s 2017 Botanical Gardens “Lantern Festival” Theme Has Officially Been Revealed

Every year the Botanical Gardens unveils their world famous Garden of Lights.
Last year's, theme was The Son Of Heaven, which focused on the life of one of China's emperors, and it was absolutely incredible.

Every year, Espaces pour la Vie teases us about what theme the Garden of Lights will have, and this year's theme has finally been revealed.
You guessed it, the theme will be dragons!
"The dragon, symbolizing China, will be the star of the 25th edition of the lantern festival in the Chinese Garden. It will be accompanied by its nine offspring, protecting the newly restored pavilions. And around them will be flying red-crowned cranes, symbolizing the longevity of the friendship between Montréal and Shanghai."
Plus this year, the Gardens of Light includes a new lighted path through the Botanical Garden’s three cultural zones including the Chinese Garden, the Japanese Garden, and the First Nations Garden.
The Garden of lights will be open from September 8 until October 31, 2017.
