Montreal's Cat Cafe Actually Has A Skateboarding Cat

Enjoy a coffee, pet adorable cats and see one skateboard?! Yup, there is a skateboarding cat here in Montreal! Especially on a day like today, when it's gloomy outside, not only will the coffee perk you up but so will these cute and playful cats!

This cafe is located right here in Montreal, called Chat L'Heureux Cat Cafe and is home to 8 friendly cats (Luzerne, Luciole, Luna, Gustave, Chopin, Sheldon, Milady, and Boris), all of whom come from local shelters. This is a win-win situation, where the cats get attention and so will you!

The cute cat skateboarding is Milady, who was adopted back in June 2014. She is affectionate, playful and adventurous, I mean she has to be considering she attempted to skateboard.

Chat L'Heureux not only has delicious drinks they also have an extensive menu of sandwiches (like grilled cheese), salads, and let's not forget about the delectable desserts (brownies, cheesecake, and a big cookie). Just viewing their menu is making my mouth water.

This place is definitely the cutest (and cuddliest) cafe in town. A perfect spot to bring a friend or even a date- what a great icebreaker! Who knows you might spot a cat doing something totally outrageous, they are adventurous after all!

There are still a ton of things to do this Monday holiday!
  • Here's a short list of what's open and what's closed on Labour Day in Montreal.
  • If you're heading out, make sure to call ahead to your destination to inquire about reduced hours.

Yes, it's a long weekend! Three uninterrupted days to relax, have fun, and not think for two seconds about things like school or work, or other responsibilities until Tuesday morning. Not to be too depressing but it will be six weeks before we get another official long weekend.

But let's focus on the positive! This is usually one of the summer weekends that people are trying to pack in their last days of camping or chalet time. But if you're planning to stay in the city it's good to know what's open and what's closed so you can plan out your Labour Day weekend.
