Montreal-based entertainment company Cirque du Soleil has just dropped some big, and very exciting news. The world's largest theatrical producer will be creating their very own immersive theme park, though unfortunately, it won't be located in Montreal, or Quebec for that matter, as many would have thought/hoped.

Cirque du Soleil's theme park, which is still unnamed, will be situated in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, reports Les Affaires. Resort developer Grupo Vidanta will partner with CdS in the creation of the park, the two already having collaborated on the upcoming "Joya" performance soon to be shown in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Said to be the first of its kind in the world, CdS's immense theme park will follow a specific narrative-theme, and will contain certain features found in water and nature parks. An outdoor evening show will be held regularly, which will be shown to 3000-5000 park goers.

The Cirque du Soleil's theme park is said to be completed sometime in 2018. Hopefully this will be the first of many CdS theme parks, with Montreal being the next city on the list.
