Montreal's City Limits Showcased In All Their Glory At Night

What are the limits to a city? Is a metropolis destined to grow forever, or will the nature remain intact, and divide the urban from the natural. Photographer and filmmaker Dominic Boudreault asks these questions in a Montreal context in his video "The City Limits," which offers a very unique look into the makeup of the city.
Taking shots of Montreal from high-up, so you can see the expanse of Montreal's urban sprawl, Boudreault's shots are awe-inspiring. To make the city look as alive as nature, Boudreault uses a timelapse photography method, giving the streets and lights of Montreal an energy that parallels the flow of rivers and clouds.
At the video's close, nature becomes the focus. The same grandiose angles are pointed to the seas and skies, a reminder that while humanity has grown and accomplished so much, we're but a speck in the universe and always at the behest of mother nature.
