Staving off the cold is easier said than done, though at times, it can be truly enjoyable, at least when your being warmed up by a hearty and delicious dish. Soup is the classic go-to, but something spicy can do the trick just as well, if not better. Have the best of both worlds and enjoy a spicy curry to heat up your body and soul, which you can enjoy at the Curry Festival held by Ye Olde Orchard in the Plateau.

Not quite a festival on par with the city's larger events, Ye Olde Orchard's Curry Festival is still worth talking about, because, well, we love curry and we're sure you do to. Already ongoing, the Curry Festival features 4 different kinds of spicy red curry and two other signature dishes, all served with na'an bread accompanied by a soup, salad or a bonda.

Here's what you can enjoy at the Curry Festival:

  • Spicy Red Chicken Curry on a bed of rice
  • Spicy Red Beef Curry on a bed of rice
  • Spicy Red Vegetable Curry on a bed of rice
  • Spicy Red Lamb Curry on a bed of rice
  • Butter Chicken on a bed of rice
  • Moon Rice (chicken + shrimp + veggies served with a half hard-boiled egg)

Now, getting a bunch of curry at a Celtic-themed pub may seem a little strange, though anyone who has actually eaten at Ye Olde knows they make great food, especially when it comes to Sri Lankan and South Indian cusine. We do know that the Curry Festival is still underway the the Plateau Ye Olde, though all other locations always have curry on the menu, but not the beef variety nor the Moon Rice.
