Slut doesn't need to be a bad word.

June is gonna be a wild month, all thanks to Montreal's newest slew of scintillating parties, all part of the Slut Island Festival. Two weekends of partying with 30+ bands, DJs, and musical acts, the Slut Island Festival is going to be a summer fun paradise.

Come to this event with an open mind and zero reservations. Slut Island Festival is a party with a purpose, and will be a celebration of all body types, while also being against any kind of slut shaming. What that means for you is just being yourself, dressing in how much or as little as you like, and most importantly, having a good time.

Keep in mind Slut Island Festival is a queer-oriented event. Any and everyone are invited to have a slut-tastic good time, but if you got problems with gals who like gals, dudes who dig dudes, or anything not-quite-the-norm of the sexuality spectrum, you best just stay home and not kill the vibe.

You got tons of party options during Slut Island Festival's two weekends of events. Here's a breakdown of the party-lineup:

  • Thursday, June 5th: Day 1 @ Cabaret Playhouse (FB Event)
  • Friday, June 6th: Day 2 @ La Vitrola (FB Event)
  • Sunday, June 8th: Special Matinee @ Il Motore (FB Event)
  • Thursday, June 12th: Day 3 @ Picolo Rialto (FB Event)
  • Friday, June 13th: Day 4 @ Cabaret Playhouse (FB Event)

Live music will be a feature of every single party, so all music and dance-lovers (aka everyone) will have a good time at any event. For the lowdown on who is performing and when, check out the week 1 and week 2 video trailers.

To stay in all the loops, be sure to check out and join Slut Island Festivals main FB page.

This June, time to get slutty Montreal. Sorry, I mean sluttier.

Will you be attending?
