Montreal's First-Ever Speed Dating With Your Dog On The Lachine Canal Is This Sunday

The process of speed dating is more than a little stressful. Trying to impress a gal/guy in the span of 2-3 minutes is incredibly difficult, especially when you're in competition with everyone else in the room. Now, thanks to Montreal's The Dog Runners, you can bring your best friend along, your best dog friend that is, during their dog-walk speed dating mixer.

Dogs are natural social lubricant, and that's the motive behind the esoteric event. If there's a lull in the conversation, just start talking about your respective canines, and you'll always have dog-talk to beef up the back and forth banter. Plus, you'll be walking, which always help to "move along" the convo.

Partly a fundraiser, speed dating with your dog on the Canal will also be raising money for local Montreal bus shelters. It's only $5 to participate, and you'll also be entered in a chance to win up to $5000 of free dog running service from The Dog Runners.

Montreal's very first Speed dating with your dog on the Canal event will be held on Sunday, August 24th, with speed daters meeting at Square Sir George Etienne Cartier (map) at 11:30am, then heading out to the Lachine Canal.

You will need to register before attending, so for more info and to RSVP, head here. To get more info on The Dog Runners' services and other events, head over to their official website.
