Montreal's Food Trucks Are Officially Back May 1st

All 5 new participating boroughs listed as well.

It's time to get hyped for summer and the best way to do that is to think about the best thing to happen to Montreal summers in the last few years. That's right, I'm talking about food trucks. They may be relatively new, but it's already hard to imagine Montreal without them.

This year starting May 1st until October 31st the food trucks will be present in 5 different Montreal boroughs: Ville-Marie, Côte-des-Neiges, Hochelaga/Maisonneuve, Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and Rosemont/La Petite-Patrie. The trucks who obtain a permit will be able to share 43 available spots in 32 designated areas. This is great news considering there's no food left in my fridge.

Registration for food trucks is now open and candidates have until April 13th to register. You must submit the theme of your food truck as well as your complete list of ingredients, prices and photos of menu items. At that point, a committee will be selecting which trucks will make the cut.
