Crepes are traditionally a French specialty made from light batter and carefully spread over a hot surface to create a very large ultra-thin crepe which can be used to swaddle all kinds of delicious ingredients into a cradle of goodness.

Considering that crepes are made from flour they are full of gluten and can't be enjoyed by our celiac slash gluten-sensitive friends. A restaurant in Griffintown is set out to offer gluten-intolerant people more than just grainy cornbread.  This spot serves classic French crepes - 100 % gluten-free.

Located on Notre Dame Street Ouest Restaurant Spanel is run and operated by chef Yann Bris who comes from France himself so you can be confident he knows his stuff.

With a rustic and charming interior and beautiful backyard terrasse, this is the perfect restaurant for weekend brunch in the summer.
