It's official people, you now have a legit reason to head over to Laval that doesn't involve visiting your relatives. Taking over Laval will be the MRCY Block Party, a musical event never seen before in the area, featuring outdoor performances from a long list of legit musicians.

You might be wondering what exactly MRCY means. The organizers of this epic event got the name MRCY Block Party from Montmorency métro metro station in Laval, also where the festival will be located.

Laval will be the place to be on September 12th, with bands playing at Espace Montmorency (map) all day. The party starts at three and you can expect to rock out to internationally acclaimed bands all day like Metric, Neutral Milk Hotel, Death From Above 1979, The Barr Brothers and more.

To add to all the great bands playing at his event, you can also expect to enjoy delicious eats from all your favorite food trucks. This event will also feature some insane art installations for your viewing pleasure.

You can grab your tickets over at the MRCY Block Party official website for $46, which includes all taxes and fees. You can also pick 'em up at Atom Heart (264 Sherbrooke E.), Cheap Thrills (2044 Metcalfe), Phonopolis (207 Bernard O.),  L'Oblique (4333 Rivard) and at the Salle André Mathieu box office (475 de l’Avenir Blvd. in Laval).

$1 from each ticket that is sold will be donated to the Fondation du College Montmorency. To top it all off, anyone who has a ticket will be given free transport from Transport Laval on the day of the event.

See, we were being serious when we said MRCY Block Party would be making Laval your weekend destination. More than just a concert, this will be a full-on outdoor party that will keep the energy alive from day 'til night. Budwesier is a sponsor, thus guaranteeing a good time.
