Montreal's McGill University Ranked #5 For Most Dateable Grads In North America

Choosing a university can be a bit tricky. You need to consider the price, the program, the reputation, and the school's ranking in the global academic community. One thing most people don't take into consideration, is how your university will affect your dating life, because apparently it does. Good thing Montreal has one of the best universities in North America for dateable alumni.

McGill University, in a research poll conducted by online dating service The Dating Ring, was ranked the fifth university with the most dateable graduates in North America. Congrats McGill, you may have gone down in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, but at least you can say your alumni are good daters.

7, 500 reports made up the university-dating study, with 1, 600 people polled over a year and a half. Rankings were accumulated based on the number of people who said they would go on a second date with a person from a given university. Here are the top ten:

  1. Colgate University
  2. Lehigh University
  3. University of Texas Austin
  4. University of Southern California
  5. McGill University
  6. University of Delaware
  7. San Francisco State University
  8. Boston University
  9. Northwestern University
  10. Williams College

Something to consider, as Time points out, is that 81% of participants in the study hailed from New York City, with the remaning 19% living in San Francisco. It may just be that McGill grads appeal to the NYC and San Fran mentality, rather than being good daters. Personally, I think the data isn't too far fetched. I like to think I make a pretty good date.
