Montreal`s Mike Horowitz`s New Comic Book "Molly And The Monster" Impresses
Montreal native Mike Horowitz is sticking to his passion and rising in the local comic book scene. After completing a BA in Marketing at Concordia, Horowitz decided to dedicate some time as a new graduate to his love of drawing. And out of that painstaking work came “Molly and the Monster”, the story of a young girl named Molly who befriends a monster. Together they help each other out and discover solutions to their own problems.
At 65 pages, the art style is fantastic, and looks great in black and white. Molly’s house even has a very Montreal/West Island feel to it, a call to the artist’s hometown.
The book was well received at the Toronto Comics Arts Festival, where Horowitz had his very first table signing this past May.
With one comic now officially under his belt, Horowitz is determined to keep at his craft. Whether it’s another print copy, or a regular weekly/monthly online comic series, this local artist is on his way to bigger and greater things
Horowitz is going for a second degree in Animation at Concordia in the fall.
