There's a story behind every work of urban art in Montreal, and you've no doubt pondered who created the your favourite mural or piece of graffiti. Before, there was almost no resource to find out those kinds of details.  Now you can get all the background info on Montreal's many works of graffiti, street art, and murals thanks to Montreal's Street Art Bike Rides.

Lead by cycling  enthusiast and artist Cam Novak, each Street Art Bike Ride will take you around the city to visit the various work of Montreal's urban-art, with Novak giving you all the info on each specific piece. You'll get to learn about the artist behind the mural, the different artistic styles and techniques used, and other factoids you wouldn't be privy to without a guide like Novak.

Several planned bike tours are already set, with more to be released as the summer continues. Here are the set Street Art Bike Rides for now:

  • May 31- 2:00- 3:30 pm
  • June 4- 6:30- 8:00 pm
  • June 7- 2:00- 3:30 pm
  • June 11- 6:30- 8:00 pm
  • June 12, 13, 14, 15- Mural Festival walking tours

No sweat if you aren't an intense cyclist, as the tour is meant to be do-able no matter what your fitness level. Tours are also given in Montreal's native language of Franglais (English + French) to make it even more inclusive.

To get a spot on any of the Street Art Bike Rides, just email with your name + phone number + date you'd like ride.  Get all the info on the Street Art Bike Ride FB page and Novak's official website.
