Winter requires more eating, how else are you going to stave off the cold without some extra fat and warm dinners? Normally you're relegated to just getting a cheap poutine to fill your belly, but this January, treat yourself with some legit Old Port resto meals, which will be affordable for the entire mont, as part of the Happening Gourmand food event.

Starting today, January 8th, and running until Febuary 8th, the Happening Gourmand will feature special lunch and dinner menus at a price you can actually pay for, most being a small portion of the original price.

8 of the Old Port's most prestigious restaurants will be participating, all offering meals between $21-$29 dollars. Restaurants include Bevo Bar+Pizzeria, Kyo Bar, Méchant Boeuf, Modavie, Suite 701, Taverne Gaspar, Verses, and the Vieux-Port Steakhouse. Check out what the resto's will be offering here.

Even if you're more of a party-er than a foodie, Happening Gourmand will still be worth checking out. Buy a single discounted meal, and you'll recieve a discount on your Igloofest ticket. Fuel up with a fantastic meal, then burn it all off dancing at Igloofest, it's a match made in winter heaven.
